Tuesday 18th January - third update

FTPSS CHAPLAIN - our school chaplain Alan Scott ('Chappy Alan') is very happy to have a chat with anyone from our community - just a chat, or maybe find time to sit down for a cup of tea.  Please phone Alan on 0408 066 471 if you would like to catch up with him.  Alan has regularly been at our drop in centre in the old prep room at school, and has also been out helping with the flood clean up.

HOLY FAMILY RECOVERY CENTRE - this is located at Holy Family School, Ward Street, Indooroopilly (down the hill from Bridigine College).  Flood affected families will be assisted in navigating the various government forms and processes through which financial assistance may be received.

HELP NEEDED - 22 Botticelli St would appreciate assistance with knocking out gyprock walls and gerni-ing the house.  If you are able to assist with this, please make your way to 22 Botticelli Street.

                             - 32 Botticelli St would appreciate assistance on Thursday, 20 January with disinfecting the floors and outside walls.  If you are able to assist, please make your way to 32 Botticelli St on Thursday.

WATER PALLET FROM BRISBANE CITY COUNCILLOR - thank you to our Brisbane City Councillor, Julian Simmonds, for providing a pallet of water today.  As a result of this kind donation, we do not need any more water donated at this stage.  Thank you again to everyone from our community who has donated water to date.

STATE MEMBER, SCOTT EMERSON - we appreciated a visit today from our State Member of Parliament Scott Emerson, who has been visiting many areas within our community, and offering his assistance.  Scott will also be attending the Mandalay Progress Association meeting being held at 6.00 pm tonight on the corner of Fig Tree Pocket Road and Tofanella Street (see entry about this in an earlier blog post from today - just scroll down).

In the coming days, please continue to read this blog - make sure too, that you scroll down for earlier information that's been posted.  Please pass info on to anyone in our community who may be unable to access the internet.

Reminder - our email ftpflood@hotmail.com, phone 0407 139 720, location - old prep room at FTPSS.  We are open this current week from 7.30 am til 2.30 pm.
