We have received the Walter Taylor Ward Flood Recovery Update #3 from our local Councillor Julian Simmonds - see  http://www.juliansimmonds.com.au/

From the Update, we wanted to highlight:

* Council is continuing the massive kerbside clean up effort, and appreciates the patience of those affected by these operations.  Council is moving as swiftly as possible to ensure flood affected suburbs are habitable and the kerbsides clear.

* Council's 'Adopt a Park Program'.  If you are able to volunteer your time to help clean up the following FTP parks, please register on 3407 0005 or 3403 8888:
-Biambi Yumba Park ( the 'Colourful Park' / 'Rainbow Park')
- Mandalay Park
- Clivedon Park

*Welcome Home Hampers - Councillor Julian Simmonds has a number of Welcome Home Hampers available to flood affected residents.  These hampers contain canned food, blankets and other essential household items.  Please contact Julian Simmond's office on 3407 0005 if you would like a hamer, or if you would like to pass on details of someone you believe is in need of a hamper.
