FTP school and local community - Monday 17 January update

We are trying to centralise information and offers of / requests for help to this blog, a central email address and a couple of mobile phone numbers.

The contact details you need:
(1) read this blog and pass any info on to people who don't have electricity/internet or who simply don't have time to read it
(2) email ftpflood@hotmail.com
(3) school mobile 0407 139 720 - this is 'manned' this current week by parent volunteers from the school, who will deal with calls/texts as best they are able.
Uniform Shop will be open at the school from 9.00 am til 11.00 am this coming Saturday 22nd January. IF YOU HAVE LOST YOUR CHILD'S UNIFORM and BAG DUE TO FLOODING - the P&C will provide one hat, two polo shirts, two pairs of shorts and a school bag.

Sequel book packs - FTP residents' book packs will be delivered to the school this week.  We can arrange for (1) home delivery (2) collection from the school - the old prep room (3) packs to be taken straight to your child's classroom.  IF YOU HAVE LOST YOUR SCHOOL BOOK PACK DUE TO FLOODING - the P&C will be able to provide a replacement - however, there could be very lengthy time delays, as Sequel itself was flooded, as were the other two local stationery providers Pellegrini and Brodies.  If you have school stationery needs, please email the address above so we can try and work out a plan for supply.

First day of school  - there will be a welcome morning tea in the old prep room, everyone is welcome this year.  If you are able to, please bring along a plate to share (nothing with nuts or nut products).  Drop in for a cup of tea after 9.00 am.

Requests for help - please let us know by email or mobile - we are trying to get an idea of what help is needed or would be welcomed. EG laundry, child minding, baking, meals.  Is there a need for food to be provided once school starts - eg a basic first or second break for your child, if you have been affected by flooding.

General comments - please email, phone or text with any other comments that may be helpful as we try and support our school and wider community as best we can.

I will post again with more information as it becomes available.  Catherine D, FTPSS P&C
