Thursday 20 January - thank you + info + winding down

A week on from the flood, our community 'drop in centre' will be winding up our activities.

FTPSS starts on Monday, 24 January

The 'drop in centre' will be open for one more day tomorrow, Friday 21 January, from 7.30 am til 2.30 pm.  We will no longer be deploying volunteers to assist with clean up activities, or to provide food and water to local residents and clean up teams.

Over this week, we have been overwhelmed by the coming together of our community, to help and support those families affected by the flood.  Thank you to everyone who has given their time, labour, equipment, food and water.

Here is some last information we would like to pass on.  Please share it with those in our community who do not have access to the internet.  Take your time to scroll right through the info, and on into older posts, to make sure you are across all the information we have that is available to our community.

FTP COMMUNITY BBQ - Saturday 22 January from 4.00 pm - around 6.30 pm in the old prep room at school.

FTPSS LUNCHES WEEKS 1 & 2 - for any children from families who have been adversely affected by the flood, both first and second break will be provided at school in weeks 1 and 2 of term.  This will be prepared in the tuckshop by parent volunteers - it will not be food from the tuckshop menu.  No nuts or nut products will be used.  A basic roster for volunteers has been started - if you are able to give your time to assist OR to make some muffins or treats for second break, please email ftpflood@hotmail.com.

FTPSS UNIFORMS - the uniform shop will be open to the whole school community from Saturday 22 January from 9.00 am til 11.00 am.  If you have been affected by the flood (and a P&C rep has not yet been able to make contact with you), the P&C will provide two uniforms at no cost, including a hat and bag.

FTPSS SEQUEL BOOK PACKS - for residents of suburbs other than FTP who have NOT yet received their book packs - we are expecting a delivery from Sequel tomorrow, to the old prep room at school.  When the packs arrive, we will try and make phone contact with every family.  If we are unable to do so, or if you are unable to come into the school to collect your pack tomorrow, it will be taken to your child's classroom ready for Monday.

'FREE RECOVERY CLINIC FOR FLOOD VICTIMS' - we have received this flyer, the details of which are:  Remedial Massage Therapy and Acupuncture available for Musulo-Skeletal problems and Stress.  All therapists are professionally accredited.  Sunday 23 January 9.00 am - 3.00 pm.  Kenmore Centre for Health, level 1 Kenmore Village, Moggill Road/Brookfield Road, Kenmore.  For bookings 3878 4477.  http://www.kenmorehealth.com.au/

THANK YOU very much to those who have given their time, expertise and ability to support others in our community over the last week.  The strength of our community is in its people.  Further essential information will be posted here, but otherwise, we will wind down our centre as we start the school year.  Information to FTPSS families will continue to be passed on through the usual email and newsletter and other channels.
